Particulate contamination can be carried into a cleanroom via equipment, materials and personnel. This contamination can effect product quality, yields, reliability and safety. Therefore, it is important to wipe down equipment and materials prior to being transferred into the cleanroom. Wiping of gloved hands should occur in the gowning area prior to entering the cleanroom.
