In order to reduce the hazards of handling IPA solutions, the disposal costs and the landfill impact associated with steel and plastic drums, Berkshire worked with our supply chain to implement steel cycletainers in 2004 that are contiuously recirculated through the supply chain and manufacturing processes. By implementing this change, Berkshire has entirely eliminated the landfill waste associated with one-way drums, reduced the natural resources required to product the one-way drums and reduced the amount of VOC's associated with processing from the one-way drums.
