As part of Berkshire's effort to reduce or eliminate landfill waste, there is a concentrated effort to recycle all materials possbile. Actions supporting this effort include:

• 100% of all polyester scrap is being recycled and turned into polyester pellets for reuse for other consumer applications.
• 100% of all scrapped and rejected cleanroom gloves are being recycled for other uses.
• 100% of all corrugated cardboard and cardboard tubes are being sent to a pulp mill for recycling.
• 100% of all wooden pallets are recycled to eliminate landfill waste and reduce the requirements for virgin materials.
• All set-up IPA and discontinued or defective wipers are recycled internally for machine and work area cleaning.

Since August 2005, Berkshire has recycled 127 tons of polyester and corrugated waste that was previously landfilled.
